In the middle of June, our Hundsleiten vineyard appears at its best. The wines bloom and clover and roses join in beautifully. That’s how we really like the view to castle Kreuzenstein on the opposite hill. The Name “Hundsleiten” comes from “hundsn”, which means “work like a dog”. And that’s what we experienced 2014, when we planted some new parcells at Hundsleiten and the rocky soil showed its strength. However, the minerality that this Flysch-sandstone brings to the wine makes up the efforts and we love the peppery, spicy and multilayered taste of the Grüner Veltliner that grows here.
