AWC-VIENNA-Trophy-Winner “Best St. Laurent”

We are delighted to have received a flood of medals from the Austrian Wine Challenge – awc vienna. Our current range was awarded 15 gold medals and 16 silver medals in Vienna. However, the icing on the cake was a red wine: our ALTEN St. Laurent Reserve 2023 was selected as the trophy winner in the “St. Laurent” category.

We also really like the ALTEN 2023. It is incredibly elegant and refined and reflects the current trend for soft wines that still have a complex, full flavor. We detect roasted plums on the nose, a hint of cassis; on the palate, it is as smooth as chocolate, with delicate sour cherry fruit, a hint of dried plum, subtle pine spice, soft tannins—a wonderful companion for balmy summer evenings. You can serve it with dark meat or cheese, nibble on a few nuts, but really, none of that is necessary. The wine is a poem just as it is. Put your feet up, gaze out at the greenery, and enjoy!

St. Laurent has great aging potential, so you can store the wine for many years, although you will already enjoy the 2023 vintage now, as it is already very drinkable. If you have one available, treat yourself to this wine in a large wine glass!
