Best Austrian Producer + Best Austrian White Wine 2024
For the fifth time in a row, we were honoured as “Best Producer in Austria” based on the results of our wines at the Mundus Vini Spring Tasting 2024. Not only that: Mundus Vini ranks us among the five most successful wineries in the competition. More than 250 wine experts from 55 countries came together for the six-day tasting in Neustadt an der Weinstraße. Wines from 45 different nations were submitted to the competition. Our Burgundy varieties did particularly well this year. The NUSS Pinot Blanc 2023 and the LA VITA Pinot Gris 2023 stood out with a gold medal. Our HARMONY Gemischter Satz 2023 was also awarded a gold medal. We are also very proud to present the “Best of Show Austria white” this time:

Roman has reduced the amount of wood in the 2022 compared to the previous vintages. He continues to work with oak barrels, but this time not in small barrique barrels, but in large, old wooden barrels. That’s good for the wine! We are whisked away to a buffet of fully ripe fruit: wonderfully fresh pear fruit with a hint of caramel on the nose, very deep and complex on the palate and never heavy, more like a fine fruit basket: pineapple, lime and orange with a hint of roasted flavours, all incredibly tightly interwoven. Fine and long on the finish. A wine with plenty of power that tempts you to take the next glass with every sip. It already has us dreaming of summer!
